About South East Landcare

South East Landcare is an incorporated association that supports a federation of fifteen Landcare Networks, encompassing approximately three hundred and fifty smaller Landcare groups in the south east region of NSW. The association is run by a voluntary committee made up of Landcare network members and other interested individuals.

In this region Landcare is supporting communities working on varied projects including revegetation, landscape restoration, threatened species conservation, grazing groups and private land conservation through many more initiatives. Due to geographical difference and climatic range, there is great diversity in landcare groups in the South East region. South East Landcare hosts the role of the Regional Landcare Coordinator and of the fifteen district networks twelve have coordinators.

The geographical area stretches from Hovells Creek & Boorowa in the north west, Illawarra in the north east, through to Shoalhaven, Upper Shoalhaven, Eurobodalla, Far South Coast, the area around Canberra and Goulburn, Upper Snowy and Snowy River Interstate (which reaches across in to the southern border into Victoria). Our vision is to be an engaged, supported and connected network of communities involved in Landcare across the South East. Joining together to support member groups and facilitate activities by securing resources and sharing knowledge. Find out more about the strategic plan in this link.

The committee is a dynamic, hard working group of volunteers, their roles are diverse including representation on several state peak bodies and on Landcare NSW committees. They administer projects such as partnering with the Biodiversity Conservation Trust to support conservation on private land. The committee is elected each year at the Annual General Meeting and the current committee is listed below.
