Landcare in the South East recognises it is vital that we find effective ways to work well together in challenging times, such as climate change, drought, bushfire and floods to support communities. One of the ways we can do this is by deepening our understanding and practice of hosting conversations that matter. Art of Hosting is the practice that supports us and our communities to have conversations that matter, leading to change and adaptation. The course is underpinned with care and presence and guided by skilled practitioners. Participants learn tools and techniques that can be used to engage with community groups such as Landcare.
The Art of Hosting (also known as the Art of Participatory Leadership) offers simple and powerful participatory practices, patterns and processes to host generative conversations that can lead to coordinated action and positive change in organisations and communities. South East Landcare supports delivery of this experiential training to Landcare group members and coordinators, as well as partner groups and organisations working with Landcare in the South East region of NSW.
Participants have reported that the Art of Hosting training has gifted them with the many ideas and tools for the toolbox, to mobilise change projects in Landcare. Click here to see the most recent training held at Tuross Head in Nov 2022..
